Beautifying Dermal Filler Treatment
A dermal filler treatment will make you look youthful with anti-aging techniques. Dermal fillers are injected into the problem area to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles while giving your skin volume. Dermal fillers can even tighten loose skin.
Dermal fillers are usually used on the face to eliminate lines and wrinkles and they have a very specific function to make your face look plump so sags and folds disappear.
Please note that this treatment is not the same as Botox. While Botox makes the underlying muscles stop from contracting, dermal fillers plump and smooth your skin. Patients have been known to use both very successfully.

Perlane Dermal Filler
Perlane dermal filler is a hyaluronic acid used for the treatment of age related depressions of the face, such as nasolabial folds. This acid is hydrophilic meaning it attracts and attaches to water. This allows for the dermal filler to last longer with more easily sustained results.
As the hyaluronic acid degrades, the molecules will bind to more water. Over time, you may be able to use less of the product to achieve the volume you are looking for.
These treatments last a year or longer depending on your individual unique skin properties and metabolism, the amount of muscular activity in the area of placement, as well as the skill and technique of the medical practitioner.
Because the acid used in Perlane can be found in the human body, there is a low occurrence of adverse effects due to the injection. The most common side effect patients can experience is temporary redness, swelling and bruising around the injection sight.

Belotero Dermal Filler
A Belotero dermal filler is a prescription injection that has been approved to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds. These are lines that go from the sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth.
If you have severe allergies and history of anaphylaxis you should not get the injection. If you have allergies to gram-positive bacterial proteins, you should also not get the injection.
Patients may experience injection sight reactions but they should only last for about seven days and are not severe. For about 24 hours, you should avoid strenuous activities, extensive sun or heat exposure, aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and alcoholic beverages.
It is not known whether Belotero will work in areas of the face except in the smile lines. It is also not known whether it will work in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or people who are less than 21 years of age.
With any injection, there could be side effects. The most common side effects with Belotero include bruising, redness, hardening of the skin, pain, altered color or itching. Other side effects of this injection have shown to be headache, swelling of the side of the nose, moderate cold sore, lip numbness, and lip dryness. These side effects were usually mild or moderate and lasted about 7 days.
You should ask your doctor which injection is right for you according to health, age, allergy information and what results you are looking to achieve. Over time you will have to receive more injections to keep the look you are going for.
If you plan on getting an injection before a big event, you should always plan ahead to make sure all possible side effects wear off and heal.
