Beneficial Skin Treatments
Founded by Dr. Hazem Qalla in 2011, Fitness Women’s Health Care was opened purposely for the practice of medical cosmetic skin treatments, including Botox and Dermal Filler injections. Dr. Qalla was always employed by a full time OB/GYN hospital practice in both New York City and upstate. He needed something in which he could continue his practice in medical cosmetics so we, Fitness Women’s Health Care, were established. We look forward to serving you and giving the best treatment possible.
Youthful Facial Treatments
One of the facial treatments we offer is Botox. Everyone from celebrities to the mom next door wants to look youthful and fresh. Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the United States and we are here to help you with your treatment.
Botox can do a variety of things including the prevention of wrinkles. Temporarily, Botox can eliminate and reduce horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines and crow’s feet.
The way this happens is through the treatment. It slows down the muscle contractions and those are the things that are etched into your skin. If the corners of your mouth start to sag, get a pincushion look on your chin or have vertical neck cords, Botox can help fix those problem areas.
One of the best things about Botox is that it will not affect your nerves or make your face look frozen. If you are looking for a firmer eyebrow, you will not have a permanent arch. We know how to use Botox so we will give your eyebrows an appealing and sincere look.
We don’t want you to look like you have fake facial features, so we assign you only the best doctors that are experienced in Botox. We can judge the size of muscles you have and in turn know how much Botox to use.
Because Botox is an injection, patients might feel a slight pinch at the injection sight especially between the eyebrows. To ensure patients are comfortable, we make sure to use a topical anesthetic or ice to numb the area.
Any drug you use always has side effects but fortunately, Botox has minor ones that are usually short lived. Patients can experience a droop in the eye which should go away in about two weeks. Some patients experience light bruising, but that also fades quickly.
You should start seeing results in a couple of days and they will continue to develop in the next couple of weeks. If you are getting Botox to prepare for an event, you should get the injection at least 2-3 weeks before so you allow it to heal.
There are no age restrictions for facial treatments such as Botox. You can even start using it before you get wrinkles. Some patients have been getting injections for more than 20 years and it has been proven to be successful. If you start Botox early, you will see a better outcome in the long run.
The length of the treatment varies from person to person but should last anywhere from three and a half to four months. After that, you are welcome to come back in for another treatment.
Unless you tell everyone you know that you have gotten Botox, nobody should know about your injections. People you know may comment on your looks and ask how it was done, but nobody said you had to tell the truth.
If you are looking for an anti-aging technique that works and lasts, dermal fillers will work for you. If you are looking to fill out lines around your eyes, eliminate the quotation marks between your eyebrows or the parentheses around your mouth, our experienced doctors will be able to give you the youthful look you want.
A dermal filler is injected into an area to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is also used to add volume to your skin and tighten loose skin.
This treatment is not the same as Botox, and is used to plump up your facial skin so any folds or sags disappear. Your skin should smooth out with this treatment and it will not stop your underlying muscles from contracting like Botox. Patients occasionally use both of these treatments and they work successfully.
There are no injectables on the market today that works like dermal fillers. Great skin is amazing and unfortunately as you age with muscle movement, as well as gravity and sun exposure, your skin will appear older than it actually is.
The type of dermal filler you use will depend on your needs and your doctor’s skills. All fillers will have risks but the majority of them are rare and might not affect you.
If you want less risk of a reaction, a naturally-derived filler will be the most beneficial. The results of these fillers are immediate, but because it does eventually break down, it only lasts 3-18 months.
Once you notice the filler has started to degrade, you will need to go to your doctor and get more to maintain the look you are going for.
If you are looking for a filler that will last longer, go with synthetic because it is considered semi-permanent. One of the only reasons you will start getting wrinkles back on your face is because of the continued aging process as well as exposure to the sun, but in all fillers will make you look young again.
