Dr. Qalla received his medical training as an OBGYN Physician at Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology surgical training, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, at New York Methodist Hospital and Drexel University School of Medicine. Dr. Qalla also served as clinical assistant professor and full-time faculty member at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Hospital University of Brooklyn, where he continued to refine his minimally invasive surgical skills, while also developing his robotic surgery technique. He will be joining Oneida Healthcare’s da Vinci robotic surgery team.
Dr. Qalla is board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and “strives to care for his patients with the highest level of modesty, integrity and compassion,” hospital officials said.
Dr. Qalla joins Drs. James Pfeiff, Mehri Delpino and Krislyn Flint as part of the growing number of providers and services within Oneida Healthcare’s “Circle of Care.” Women’s Health Associates’ services include Incontinence Therapy.
It is billed as the only office in the area to provide minimally invasive hysterectomy; first trimester fetal screening; and on-site imaging, including mammograms, MRI, bone density & ultrasound with 3D capability.
